Meridian Chapter No. 60, Royal Arch Masons of Oregon

On September 29, 2009, members of Meridian Chapter and their ladies attended an event hosted by Solomon Council #222 Allied Masonic Degrees at China Palace Restaurant in Roseburg, Oregon, and were privileged to be initiated into the Privateer Degree. It is a side-degree that is not Masonic, but open to anyone to receive. It subscribes to a revised version of Captain Bartholomew Robert's Pirate Code or Articles of Agreement, and confers membership in "an authentic order of Pirates dating back to the 1700's."
