A reading of the Psalms of the Degrees of David (Psalm 122, 124, 131, and 133) with harp accompaniment. These are psalms of degrees, or of "ascension," and legend holds that they were recited by the Israelites as they ascended the steps to the Temple. Every Mason will be familiar with the final Psalm in this series.
