Installation and Festive Board

A Special Convocation of Meridian Chapter No. 60, Royal Arch Masons was held in the Chapter Room at 632 Valley Rd. on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 A.D., A.I. 2539.
Officers present were:
Lawrence J. Stokes, Excellent High Priest.
Russell L. Howard, II, Scribe.
Jeffrey R. Day, Secretary.
Timothy S. Randall, Principal Sojourner.
Also present were:
Marc Merman, visiting from Reames Chapter No. 28, who served as Master of the Third Veil, pro-tempore.
Dick Strong, Past High Priest of Laurel Chapter No. 31, and member of Meridian Chapter No. 60.
The Chapter was opened at 6:55 P.M. on the Royal Arch Degree in due form.
Excellent High Priest Lawrence J. Stokes proceeded to install Jeffrey R. Day as Excellent High Priest for the ensuing year, with Marc Merman serving as Installing Marshal and Tim Randall as Installing Chaplain. After this, Excellent Companion Jeffrey R. Day proceeded to install the remaining officers, as follows:
Timothy S. Randall, King.
Russell L. Howard, II, Scribe.
Lawrence J. Stokes, Secretary.
The proclamation was made by the Installing Marshal.
Richard Surroz, who was unable to attend this evening, will be installed as Captain of the Host at the next Convocation of the Chapter.
The Chapter was called from Labor to Refreshment at 7:45 P.M., photos of the officers were taken, and dinner was served. There was a good discussion and several toasts were proposed.
The Chapter was called back to Labor at 8:45 P.M.
There being no further business, the Chapter was closed at 8:50 P.M. in due form.
