Elections for 2010 and Lecture on the Osirian Myth

A Special Convocation of Meridian Chapter No. 60, Royal Arch Masons of Oregon was held on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 A.D., A.I., 2539, at 632 Valley Rd. in Roseburg, Oregon.

Officers Present were:

Lawrence Stokes, Excellent High Priest.
Russell Howard, II, Scribe.
Jeffrey R. Day, Secretary, serving pro-tempore as Royal Arch Captain.
Richard Surroz, Captain of the Host.
Tim Randall, Principal Sojourner.

Adam Howard, visiting from Reames Chapter No. 28, served pro-tempore as Master of the First Veil.

The Chapter was opened in due form at 6:40 P.M. on the Royal Arch Degree.

There was an alarm at the door, which was attended by the Royal Arch Captain, who returned and reported that a coconut cream pie had been without the door, desiring admission, and that he had taken it upon himself to admit this pie, without further examination.

Elections were held, and the following officers were chosen for the coming year:

Jeffrey R. Day, Excellent High Priest.
Tim Randall, King.
Russell Howard, II, Scribe.
Lawrence J. Stokes, Secretary.
Richard Surroz, Captain of the Host.

Following election, the Chapter was called from labor to refreshment, and pie was served.

Companion Russ Howard gave a lecture on the Osirian Myth of Egypt and its connection to the Hiramic Legend and the Lost Word, and some discussion followed, after which the Chapter was called back to labor.

There being no further business, the Chapter was closed on the Royal Arch Degree in due form at 8:45 P.M.
